The EU program ERASMUS+ offers many different opportunities for students and teachers. Our school has been using this opportunity for decades – currently 2 projects are running, the next one is already in the starting blocks! The coordination of the projects is in the hands of Prof. Sigrid Murschenhofer, Prof. Eva Tajmel and Prof. Katharina Granier, who are also the contact persons at our school. The project activities are about getting to know other countries and cultures, making friendships and networks, improving language skills and getting a taste of the European spirit.
The offer to the students ranges from participation in a project meeting at our school to one-week visits to the partner schools to stays of several weeks or internships abroad. On ERASMUS Day in mid-October, the diploma research group of Jasmin, Maya and Sarah organized a large information event on ERASMUS+ at our school with the support of Prof. Kraly-Stinakovits. Students and teachers as well as our principal reported on their ERASMUS+ experiences and made the younger students „greedy on ERASMUS“. We were also pleased to welcome the former COMENIUS/ERASMUS coordinators Prof. Irmgard Raidinger-Vollath and Prof. Herta Pichler as well as Christian Pronai-Mariel MAS, MSc from the Service Centre „EU and International Cooperation“ of the Burgenland Directorate of Education on this occasion!

Das EU-Programm ERASMUS+ bietet für Schüler:innen und Lehrer:innen viele unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten. Unsere Schule nutzt diese Chance schon seit Jahrzehnten – aktuell laufen 3 Projekte, das nächste steht schon in den Startlöchern! Die Koordination der Projekte liegt bei Prof. Sigrid Murschenhofer, Prof. Eva Tajmel und Prof. Norbert Liebentritt, die auch die Ansprechpartner:innen an unserer Schule sind.
Bei den Projekt-Aktivitäten geht es darum, andere Länder und Kulturen kennen zu lernen, Freundschaften und Netzwerke zu knüpfen, Sprachkompetenzen zu verbessern und europäischen Spirit zu schnuppern. Das Angebot an die Schüler:innen reicht von der Teilnahme an einem Projekttreffen an unserer Schule über einwöchige Besuche an den Partnerschulen bis hin zu Aufenthalten von 2 Monaten oder Praktika im Ausland.
Zum ERASMUS Day Mitte Oktober organisierte die Diplomarbeitsgruppe von Jasmin, Maya und Sarah mit Unterstützung von Prof. Kraly-Stinakovits eine große Info-Veranstaltung zu ERASMUS+ an der HAK/HAS Oberpullendorf. Dabei berichteten Schüler:innen und Lehrer:innen und auch unsere Direktorin von ihren ERASMUS+ Erfahrungen und machten bei den jüngeren Schüler:innen „Lust auf ERASMUS“.
Wir haben uns auch gefreut, zu diesem Anlass die ehemaligten COMENIUS/ERASMUS-Koordinatorinnen Prof. Irmgard Raidinger-Vollath und Prof. Herta Pichler sowie Christian Pronai-Mariel MAS, MSc von der Servicestelle „EU und internationale Kooperationen“ der Bildungsdirektion Burgenland begrüßen zu dürfen!
